Jazz, folk and Elina

Feeling jazzy today? As one does.

Feeling folk jazzy though? Then you must have heard of Elina Duni. A full, seductive and hazy voice and old Albanian mountain folk tangled with those hasty jazz progressions. Elina is a sensation, and her fresh take on poetry and melody is breaking through the Albanian mainstream, after having already enchanted Swiss and French audiences.  Abroad she’s a doorway into an unfamiliar and exotic world of jazz and performance. At home she’s nostalgia materialised in a quartet. If in town, you’ll find Elina and the boys melting it in abandoned art spaces or in dim bars, and you’ll find yourself unable to leave.
